 I developed a passion for  photography at the age of 10 when my parents first informed me that they  could not afford to pay for 12 years of college in order for me to  become a bonafide Archeologist. Immediately my young mind set my new  goal to become a photographer for National Geographic. Well, that didn't  happen either. Life got in the way. But my love of photography never  died.

I have been steadily shooting  photographs for 30 years now, starting out with what is now my "well  loved" Minolta 35mm camera. It literally was with me everywhere I went.

How I chose who to partner with into this new endeavor:

30 years ago is also when Dan & I met. We just clicked at first  photograph. We were inseparable with our love of photography. And have  remained close and life-long friends since Day #1.

Into the world of digital:

I finally (begrudgingly) broke down and fiddled around with digital  photography starting with a little Nikon Coolpix Point & Shoot in  2005. Once I became comfortable with the world of digital, all the  settings and final results, I then graduated myself up to a Canon DSLR  in 2006. And the rest is history.

My specialties tend to be directed more towards wildlife, unusual items, abstract and portraiture.

I'm a photographer and horse trainer who lives in North Carolina who has a life long passion for photography.

My first camera was a Kodak No. 2 Folding Autographic Brownie Camera  that used 120 roll film back when I was about 8 years old. It belonged  to my grandfather and went with him to France in WWI. Then came a parade  of various cameras ranging from a Retina CIII, a SpeedGraphic, a few  twin reflex cameras from Rollie and assorted newer 35mm cameras. Being  old school, I still use film cameras for the most part.

About 30  years ago, I met Dot who kept my love for photography alive. She is my  life-long friend and we share a passion for photography and a very  special friendship that has stood the test of time. She has breathed new  life into my love of photography and is helping me explore the  possibilities of digital photography and setting me on a new path.

I specialize in landscape, abstract and documentary photography.
